PBC embarked on our journey to become a Cell Church since 2006.
Meeting Jesus Christ once a week  in the comfort of a home, cell groups of 6-15 people each come together to embrace the 4 W's:
Welcome each other and new friends - "you to me, me to you"
Worship Christ - "us to God"
Word - "God released to us through the Bible"
Works - exercise our spiritual gifts, prayer and personal ministry to each other, including Witnessing to
non-Christians, i.e. "God through us to others"

In the intimate environment of the home, families share experiences and get to know each other. They often build strong and lasting friendships, many times helping each other out in times of need. Members in a cell group often regard each other as extended family members. A family we are indeed, when we belong to the community of Christ.

Why a Cell Church?
Matthew 28:18-20, speaks of Jesus’ command to make disciples, and implicitly includes the additional work of maturing and mobilising them. Cell groups are the microcosm of the church, living out the abundant life that Christ promised (c.f. John 10:10) as each member share and serve together. Ephesians 4:11-16 clearly teaches that the job of the leaders is to equip the members of the church, the body of Christ, to do the work or ministry of Christ in the world. The ministry is in the hands of the saints, the so-called ordinary believers. That is the only way the body of Christ will be fully built up and grow into maturity. Each member must do its part. An effective cell church model is one of the ways we can fulfil this call of Christ today. Acts 2:46 tells us that the early church met together every day in Jewish temple courts in Jerusalem to worship God. They also broke bread in homes, and ate together with glad hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of the people. The church was in the street with the people, not yet hidden away inside religious buildings.

What's a Cell Church like?
1. Cell church groups usually have 5 to 15 people. This means that everyone is known and genuinely missed if away.
2. Cell church means that every member has a role like music, organising, teaching, leading prayer, cooking, or looking after children. The joy of serving is not just in the hands of a few chosen ‘professional’ clergy or leaders.
3. Cell church means that people should never feel lonely in church as the community setting brings them into the bosom of the family of God.
4. Cell church is a natural setting for teaching with all the freedom and life of a small group.
5. Cell church meetings are a great place for people to practice their spiritual gifts in the non-threatening atmosphere of home with a friendly leader and the Christian family to encourage and help.
6. Cell church means that neighbours who would never go into a church building might discover Jesus where He loves to be, among people. With cell church the scope for different kinds of creative evangelism in the home is unlimited.
7. Cell church allows the gifted ministers to travel to help equip other believers.
8. In Cell church growth is fast and never limited by lack of money for buildings. When a group grows beyond say, 16 people, it multiplies into 2 homes or rented rooms, each with its own leader. They will soon grow to 15 each and multiply again.
9. Cell church means more prayer, because more people will pray in small groups, and they can meet anytime. This is better than the weekly prayer in one place which many never get to for work reasons.
10. Cell church means that sick or needy people can be prayed for and ministered to quickly without having wait for the pastor.

We believe that children are a precious gift from God.
"Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him." (Psalm 127:3)

Piasau Baptist Church offers Sunday School Classes, in a small group setting, for ages 3 to 12 years. We invite you to celebrate the love of Jesus Christ with our Christian family. We warmly welcome your child to join our Sunday School.

Our Children Ministry is led by our very committed Sunday School Director together with dedicated teachers, who as a team, plan the study lessons and organize activities for the children.

Sunday School starts at 9:30 am every Sunday morning with children's praise & worship, dance, prayer, memory verses and introduction of new friends. Then they join the rest of the congregation for the family praise and worship session. While the sermon is being preached in the main service, the children will go to their various classes where they will have Bible lessons wiith a dedicated teacher. The younger children listen to stories from the Bible and are taught the meaning of the story, sing songs and do art crafts which reinforce the lessons.

The children are also encouraged to do presentations to show-case their talents and what they have learnt. Once a month, the children combine together for Children's Church. We also organize an annual Vacation Bible School (VBS), which had been very well received by children and parents alike.

Our aim is to introduce our children to Jesus Christ personally early in their little lives. We desire that they find their identity and security in the love of God for them, through Christ. Our prayer is that they may grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matt hew 19:14)

This is one thing no one can take away from them even after they have grown up!!

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6)

Our Worship Ministry comprises various worship teams, each team with its own worship leader, lead and back-up singers, acoustic, lead (electric) and bass guitarists, drummer and pianist/keyboardist, projectionist and ushers. We aim to provide a seamless worship experience during our Sunday service, moving from corporate devotion to praise and worship, tithes and offering, then moving to the Word, and closing challenge and prayer ministry time. During our contemporary praise and worship session, we choose Christ-centred songs that are easy to sing and memorize, and include the older hymns where appropriate. The key criteria is that each song must convey Biblical truth.

The Worship Ministry, led by our Worship Director, have three aspects:
 - Music ministry - worship leaders, singers, musicians,
projectionists, audio-visual
 - Word or pulpit ministry - preachers
 - Welcome ministry - ushers, greeters
Each sub-ministry has its own coordinator.

Whether it is songs or messages, we rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us in choosing the appropriate songs or topics to speak on. Each Sunday has a different spiritual atmosphere. Some folks come in with deep needs, some with questions and doubts, yet others full of joy. In worship we are able to express them whole-heartedly before God's holy throne of grace. Our aim is that each Sunday, every worshipper would leave the sanctuary encouraged, filled afresh with the wisdom and Spirit of God, experiencing wholeness in spirit, soul and body.

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." (Hebrews 4:16)

In the Word ministry, we have a mix of preachers comprising our pastor, own leaders, and visiting speakers (local and outstation).

If you have any spiritual gifts or talents in singing or in any instruments, in teaching and preaching the Word of God, or simply desiring to welcome people, please join us in the Worship Ministry. New musicians will get a chance to come and practice every Saturday – until they are familiar with the team. Later, they will also be part of the worship team. Twice a year, we conduct training for musicians. We also invite speakers to help us grow in our skills and shape our attitudes. New preachers are coached by pastor or one of the more experienced speakers.

The dynanic Young Adults (YA) Cell Group comprises students who've finished their Form Five (SPM), college and university students and working singles. YA's who worship in other churches also join us for fellowship. Sometimes our size swell when returning university students come back during their holiday breaks. Owing to our sizable number, we meet regularly on Tuesday evening from 7.30 pm onwards in the church fellowship hall.

We normally start with a fun "ice-breaker" activity, followed by a short praise session. We then move into bible study covering various life topics, and also guided studies on various books of the Bible. There are opportunities for testimonies and prayer. We usually end with supper either in the church, or go out together. From time to time, we hold outdoor activities including inter-church outing, movie and bowling nights out, camps and "Away Day" retreats.

Many YA's are involved in various ministries across the church. Our environment provides both spiritual and leadership development. We encourage all Young Adults to join us every Tuesday night. Let’s have fun together, discovering our future plans set by our Lord God. We'll adventure together with the Holy Spirit, into the Word of God and discover the power of Christ for a full and abundant life.
